The MRI, taken at Massachusetts General Hospital, revealed no structural damage and Ortiz, who was out of the Red Sox lineup on Saturday, is listed as day-to-day.

Ortiz suffered the injury in Friday's win over the White Sox after making a head-first slide trying to stretch a hit into a double in the fifth inning. For the season, he is hitting .321 with 16 home runs and 60 RBI.
